the problem is that we need to figure out why this connection problem appears from time to time. Next time you got this problem please contact your local support team, in order to troubleshoot please try also the following:
1. - Stop the ntradmin service - Delete all .ntr modules - Restart the service - Attempt the connection again
2. Check the system Event Viewer in order to verify any error associated with the installed service on the remote machine.
hi, i've only recently become a user of NTRadmin and having some trouble on win vista.
at first everything worked fine but after a week or two it just wouldn't connect (no rem.contr., no command prompt, nothing!)
according to the dashboard the remote computer is online, so i connect, type the password and from then on, the page keeps loading.
i eventually solved the problem on the computer itself, by stopping and starting NTR from the system icon (next to the clock)

Can´t i disable the "offline messages" when a supporter is offline so they cant send mesages to the person?
We don´t need this funktion so the people don´t se if anyone is using it.
I have tryed the: When all operators are offline, messages can be sent to the administrator, the operator, or the category operators. = "Do not sned messages"

I'm sorry to say but this communitiy is only targeted to users of NTRglobal products and related problems. For generic PC issues I suggest you try the usual places or google up "pc vista usb problems" for instance. Personally I recommend checking Experts Exchange (you cannot see the answers unless you register but if you google the exact question and choose show results in cache you normally can access them without registering).

I have a problem on my Windows Vista that began afetr the purchase of an external Hard Disk Freecom.
A few days afetr the purchase I disconnected it while it was writing and, since that moment, every time I connect and disconnect it, the PC go to freeze mode for 5 minutes.
The same thing happen even if the hard disk is disconnected: every time I start windows it go to freeze a little after the password, and every time I connect and disconnect a usb device.

- Open an Internet Explorer Browser.
- Go to tools
- Go to Compatibility view settings
- Check the last option "Displays all websites in Compatibility View"
- Close all IE windows, to have the changes on
- Now try again, if for some reason you don't remember the license code, write an email to NTR technical support and they will help you on that.

In order for RDP remote control to work the remote computer must be able to accept RDP connections. To activate this feature right click on 'My computer', go to Properties, Remote tab, make sure the 'Allow users to connect remotely to this computer' checkbox is checked. If the computer is behind a proxy or firewall you may need to configure it to allow the RDP connections.

If the remote session stalls on connecting it means that the remote machine or you machine is not able to connect to the remote control server at this stage. You must know that NTRadmin uses different port to establish the connection by default 21,25,80,110,443,11438. I have an ongoing problem with NTRadmin. Often when I try to starty a Remote COntrol session with a PC that I'm managing via NTRadmin, and that shows the "green circle" OK icon on the main NTRadmin page. the Remote Control window opens but just sits there forever saying Connecting... Sometimes if I close the window, wait for the yellow triangle icon to go back to the green circle, and try again, it works OK, but often it just won't connect. In this case NTRadmin is no use to me - I can't do my job.
Also, bear in mind that the next iteration of the product (2.0) is going to be much more comprehensive in terms of alerts and monitoring.
